Lantern Hollow

★★★★★ 4.5 Editor rating

Lantern Hollow is the game I recommend when someone wants to slow down. You wander a hand-painted town, talk to its odd residents, and slowly piece together why the lanterns keep going out at night. There is no combat and no timer, just exploration.

The puzzles are gentle but clever, built around observing the town's routines. One solution involved noticing which shop closed early on a specific day, and figuring that out felt like a real discovery rather than a chore.

Touch controls are simple: tap to move, tap to interact. It is short, maybe four hours, but every scene is crafted with care. A lovely thing to play before bed.
